Ripple has been added to the list of "supporting partners" of the Digital Euro Association (DEA), a Frankfurt-based think tank focused on various types of digital money such as CBDCs, private cryptos, and stablecoins. The CBDC experiment will benefit from the blockchain decacorn.
Ripple is the newest member of the Digital Euro Foundation.
The Digital Euro Association (DEA) announced on February 11 that it has engaged into a collaboration with the major cross-border payments operator.
onas Gross, head of the Digital Euro Association, believes that new collaboration will be critical to CBDC acceptance in a variety of countries throughout the world:
We are ecstatic that, thanks to our relationship with Ripple, we will be able to expand the DEA community's technological competence. As more CBDC projects reach advanced stages around the world, policymakers will increasingly focus on the technological design of CBDCs, whereas earlier years were mostly focused on research.
We are thrilled to join the Digital Euro Association as a supporting partner, allowing us to expand our CBDC activity. The DEA is trying to promote the creation and growth of CBDCs, notably the Digital Euro, across Europe and global markets. Ripple has made a large investment in the CBDC space, employing a team of over 40 individuals worldwide to help develop and implement CBDC and stablecoin solutions. We look forward to continuing our work on CBDCs with the DEA in the coming months.
Ripple will participate in an educational approach and knowledge sharing amongst Digital Euro innovators, citizens, and institutions around the world, in addition to R&D initiatives.
